Meet the person behind the practice.
Tinsley Brooks
Born and raised in Columbus, Mississippi, Tinsley Brooks built Brooks Law on a simple belief: the law should help people, not intimidate them. He earned his B.S. in Legal Studies from The Mississippi University for Women in 2019, then continued his education at Mississippi College School of Law, where he graduated with his Juris Doctor in 2024.
Tinsley was admitted to the Mississippi Bar in September 2024 and began practicing law shortly after with a firm in Copiah County, where he gained hands-on experience across multiple areas of law. Those early years allowed him to develop a well-rounded foundation in civil, criminal, family, estate, and business matters — experience he carries into every case he handles today.
In May 2025, he opened Brooks Law LLC to provide accessible, straightforward representation to individuals, families, and business owners across Mississippi. His approach to legal work is steady and personal — he listens first, speaks plainly, and ensures every client understands their options and rights.
Tinsley now lives in Jackson with his wife, Taylor, a ballet instructor who brings as much discipline and grace to her students as he brings to the practice of law. They share their home with three energetic dogs who keep life lively and well-balanced. Outside the office, they enjoy a balanced life together with their three dogs and a mutual appreciation for patience, structure, and the occasional well-earned rest.
Whether you're planning your estate, resolving a dispute, or facing a legal challenge, Tinsley believes every person deserves an advocate they can trust.
